De meest revolutionaire machine van zijn tijd stond op het punt om zijn weg te banen richting de harten en verbeelding van diegenen die haar aanschouwden. Een weergaloos meesterwerk dat de grenzen van de autowereld zou verleggen.
En hoe die dat deed… De Ferrari 365 GT 2+2 blies als een frisse wind door de auto-industrie. Het was overal nóg beter, nóg mooier, nóg geavanceerder. Haast onmogelijk! Toch was het Pininfarina gelukt om een vierzitter te bouwen die geen compromissen kende, maar de kunst van luxueus reizen met de sportieve genen verbond. Inspelend op het verlangen om lange afstanden comfortabel te kunnen overbruggen, was de Ferrari de eerste Pininfarina die standaard uitgerust was met een aantal baanbrekende technologieën zoals powersteering, airconditioning en hydraulische, zelf nivellerende achterwielophanging. Een, twee, vier personen… de Ferrari is hoe dan ook moeiteloos in balans. Ga zitten, ontspan … en laat je uitdagen. Naadloos is de overgang tussen rust en opwinding als je de 4.4 liter V12 motor laat brullen. Voor je het weet word je aangedreven door 320 Ferrari paarden en schiet je met een weerzinwekkende 245 km/u over het asfalt. Als een symfonie van snelheid en finesse. Echt Ferrari.
De dualiteit van de 356GT 2+2 vond nooit mooier zijn weerspiegeling dan in onze Ferrari. Vurig als een robijn en mythisch als het heelal. Rosso-rood vanbinnen, diepsprankelend Caracala Blu van buiten. Perfectie in contrast. Nummer 123 van de 801 gebouwde modellen. Slechts een van de weinige met deze uitzonderlijke originele kleurencombinatie. En dankzij het grondige restauratieproces ook nog eens feilloos in leer en lak.
Zoals een echt raspaard toekomt, is alles over deze auto bekend. De auto heeft een volledige eigenaarsgeschiedenis, officieel gedocumenteerd in het bijgevoegde rapport van Ferrari historicus en autoriteit Marcel Massini. Zelfs een kopie van de originele Italiaanse registratie is inbegrepen. Met foto’s is het gehele proces, van de vondst van de auto tot aan de uitgevoerde concoursrestauratie, onderbouwd en bijgehouden (carrosserie door Carrozzeria Labro, spuitwerk door Classic & Exclusive, montage door CSRS en bekleding door Peet Classics). Elk element, van de oorspronkelijke aandrijflijn tot de minutieuze details van haar interieur, is met liefde gereviseerd en waar mogelijk hersteld naar zijn oorspronkelijke staat. Dit is restauratie tot in de perfectie. De documentatie komt inclusief alle matching numbers en originele aandrijflijncomponenten. Zelfs de kleinste details zijn met de grootste precisie onder handen genomen. Alleen als de originele onderdelen niet konden worden hersteld, werd gekozen om ze te vervangen door fabrieksoorspronkelijke reserveonderdelen. Het resultaat? Een mooiere 365GT 2+2 is in onze ogen eigenlijk niet te vinden.
Nu staat hij in onze showroom. Minstens zo gracieus als op de Parijse salon. Een charmante uiting van baanbrekende zelfexpressie. Een auto die op verbluffende wijze voortleeft op de historie van zijn stal. De Ferrari is klaar om opnieuw gekoesterd te worden. Het liefst zouden we m voor altijd houden…

And how it did so... The Ferrari 365 GT 2+2 swept through the automotive industry like a breath of fresh air. It was better, more beautiful, and even more sophisticated than imagined. Pininfarina had managed to build a four-seater that knew no compromises. A car that bridged the art of luxurious travel with its sporting genes. Catering to the desire to comfortably cover long distances, the Ferrari was the first Pininfarina to come standard with several groundbreaking technologies such as power steering, air conditioning, and hydraulic, self-leveling rear-suspension. One, two, four people... the Ferrari remains effortlessly balanced. Sit down, relax... and be challenged. The transition between tranquility and excitement is seamless when you let the 4.4-liter V12 engine roar. Before you know it, you are powered by 320 Ferrari horses and flying at an astounding velocity of 245 km/h. Like a symphony of speed and finesse. Truly Ferrari.
The duality of the 356GT 2+2 has never found a more beautiful reflection than in our Ferrari. Fiery as a ruby and mythical as the universe. Rosso-red on the inside, deeply sparkling Caracala Blu on the outside. Perfection in contrast. Number 123 of the 801 models built. Only one of few with this exceptional original color combination. And thanks to the thorough restoration process, flawlessly in leather and lacquer.
As befits a true thoroughbred horse, everything about this Ferrari is known. The car has a complete ownership history, officially documented in the accompanying report by Ferrari historian and authority Marcel Massini. Even a copy of the original Italian registration is included. With photos, the entire process, from finding the car to the concours restoration is substantiated and tracked (bodywork performed by Carrozzeria Labro, paint job by Classic & Exclusive, assembly by CSRS, and interior by Peet Classics). Every element, from the original drivetrain to the meticulous details of its interior, has been revised with love and restored to its original state where possible. This is restoration to perfection. The documentation includes all matching numbers and original drivetrain components. Even the smallest details have been handled with the greatest precision. Only when the original parts could not be restored was the choice made to replace them with factory-original spare parts. The result? A more beautiful 365GT 2+2 is hard to find in our eyes.
Radiating the same essence as it did at the Paris Salon, it now illuminates our showroom. A charming expression of groundbreaking self-expression. A car that vividly continues the history of its stable. This Ferrari is ready to be cherished again. How we wish we could keep it forever...
