Rossa, come si addice ad una signorina che vuole apparire. Questa Z3 doveva colpire chi la vedeva e chi la usava, essendo stata di proprietà di BMW Italia dal 27 Novembre 2000, probabilmente ad uso stampa per presentare il nuovo motore 2.2i, 6 cilindri da 170 cavalli, montato sul restyling uscito l'anno precedente.
La Z3, che quest'anno spegne 30 candeline, ottenne anche un'ampia visibilità al cinema, essendo stata la prima BMW nella storia preferita alle celebri Aston Martin dall'agente 007 James Bond, nel film "Goldeneye".​
Si tratta di una delle tre spider cult degli anni '90: è la risposta bavarese alle due scoperte di Stoccarda, la Mercedes SLK e la Porsche Boxster; presentata nel 1995 e sottoposta ad un restyling di metà carriera nel 1999, questo esemplare rappresenta l'equilibrio migliore tra costi d'esercizio, fascino, prestazioni e rarità. Ha passato tutta la sua vita nella provincia di Milano: dopo essere stata di BMW Italia - come detto -, l'auto ha avuto due principali proprietari ed ha percorso pochissimi chilometri, circa 62.000 in 25 anni.
L'auto non necessita di particolari interventi se non qualche ritocco estetico: è pronta per essere utilizzata sia d'estate che nella mezza stagione e, perché no, anche d'inverno a cielo aperto. Il classico motore BMW 6 cilindri è rotondo, non arrabbiato ma nemmeno pigro: l'equilibrio ideale per una spider, o meglio una "roadster", come si legge nei battitacchi cromati; il cambio con la leva corta, il peso contenuto e la posizione di guida molto vicina al baricentro, poi, contribuiscono a regalare un'emozione di guida autentica, molto più sportiva rispetto alle due rivali sopra citate.
La sua provenienza "ufficiale" è confermata anche da due optional particolari quali i cerchi cromati (adatti ad una spider Made in USA) oltre alla capote elettrica, tutt'ora in perfetto stato di conservazione. Completano il pacchetto degli optional l'aria condizionata, i sedili elettrici completamente in pelle nera, le finiture cromate del cruscotto ed il frangivento.

A corredo vi sono anche il copricapote, le doppie chiavi, la trousse degli attrezzi completa ed i vari manuali e libretti, compreso il service, ovviamente. Vettura iscritta ASI.

This Z3 was meant to impress those who saw it and those who used it, having been owned by BMW Italia since November 27, 2000, probably for press use to present the new 2.2i, 6-cylinder 170 horsepower engine, mounted on the restyling released the previous year.

It is one of the three cult spiders of the 90s: it is the Bavarian answer to the two open-top from Stuttgart , the Mercedes SLK and the Porsche Boxster; presented in 1995 and subjected to a mid-career restyling in 1999, this example represents the best balance between running costs, charm, performance and rarity. It has spent its entire life around Milan: after being owned by BMW Italia - as mentioned -, the car has had two main owners and has traveled very few kilometers, about 62,000 in 25 years.
​The car does not require any particular work other than some aesthetic touch-ups: it is ready to be used both in summer and in mid-season and, why not, even in winter with the open top. The classic BMW 6-cylinder engine is rounded, not angry but not lazy either: the ideal balance for a spider, or rather a "roadster", as can be read on the chromed door sills; the gearbox with the short lever, the low weight and the driving position very close to the center of gravity, then, contribute to giving an authentic driving emotion, much sportier than the two rivals mentioned above.
​Its "official" origin is also confirmed by two particular optional features such as the chromed rims (suitable for a spider Made in the USA) in addition to the electric soft-top, still in perfect condition. The optional package is completed by air conditioning, full black leather electric seats, chrome dashboard finishes and wind deflector.
Also included are the hood cover, double keys, complete tool kit, various manuals and booklets, including service, of course. ASI registered car.
