The Land Rover Defender is an iconic off-road vehicle that embodies Land Rover’s rugged heritage. This utility version of the Defender is equipped with the TD5 five-cylinder inline engine, renowned for its reliability and generous torque. Designed to tackle the most demanding terrains, this pick-up offers high load capacity and excellent traction thanks to its permanent all-wheel drive and lockable differentials.


The example we are offering for sale is a Land Rover Defender 90 TD5 in single cab Pick-up version (HCPU), first registered in July 2002. Previously owned by the Gard department in southern France, this Defender served as a D.F.C.I. (Forest Fire Defense) vehicle before being sold to its current owner in 2020. At the end of 2023, this Defender 90 TD5 underwent a restoration. The bodywork was completely stripped and repainted in a custom “Persian Blue” color. Mechanically, the engine, gearbox, transfer gearbox, and axles were overhauled to ensure optimal performance. The suspension was upgraded with new shocks and springs, improving ride comfort and off-road capability. The braking system was also renewed with new discs and pads, along with a new clutch kit. Numerous seals were replaced to ensure the vehicle’s reliability and watertightness. The windshield and all four tires were also replaced. In total, almost €30,000 has been invested in the vehicle.
